Cordillera Recreation

The vast expanse of Cordillera, adjacent to millions of acres of preserved National Forest wilderness, offers the most spectacular scenery and outdoor mountain experience in North America. During winter months, the Mountain Course transforms into The Cordillera Nordic Center with over 11 kilometers of groomed Nordic trails. Ski on your own or with professionals who provide private and group instruction.

Cordillera offers its Members miles of private fishing on the Vail Valley's own Eagle River. Guides are available to lead Members and their families to those special spots. There are also many ponds within the confines of Cordillera for Members and their families to refine their angling skills.

At Bearcat Stables, where horses have grazed for a century, Indian Summer Outfitters offers single-day or longer adventures in the backcountry. Next door at the Cordillera Equestrian Center, Members find an indoor riding arena designed for basic horsemanship, dressage, eventing and show jumping.
At the upper reaches of the Summit, Cordillera’s version of “ Land’s End,” is access to individual and family adventures that will never be forgotten. Members can strike out on a walk with backpacks or saddle a horse for an entirely different kind of adventure to points and vistas that few will ever experience.
