Explore Minturn Properties
Old mixed with new is just one way to describe Minturn. Its eclectic nature and friendly people make this a great place to visit or live. Minturn came into fruition in the mining boom in the late 1800’s. It also was very popular due to the railroad. Today you will find quaint shops and restaurants which line the main street. Many of the businesses are in older homes which add to the overall appeal.
Minturn has more of valley feel due to mountains on both east and west of Minturn. The river runs on the east side which is a wonderful place to live, fish, raft and kayak. The location is just south of I-70 and it is the beginning of the scenic byway. In the summer, this area is bustling with tourist and locals. Especially, when the Minturn market begins! You can find great treasures from local stores and other businesses. Minturn also has beautiful hiking and/or biking trails. From Meadow Mountain or father south towards Homestake, you will find many great places to explore. In the winter, you can partake in a snowmobile adventure with one of the local companies.
Just about 10 minutes to Vail, Minturn offers a nice alternative to the resort feel of Vail. If you are coming from Vail, you will take your first exit, (Minturn), after going through Dowd Junction and head south. From Beaver Creek, you can access Minturn by either staying east on Rte 6 or take I-70 to the Minturn exit. If you are just passing through, you will want to include Minturn in your visit!
