The Secret's Out About These Mountain Communities
“WOW!” This is a common response as you drive through Wildridge/Wildwood and gaze at the views. It is almost a “hidden” area within Avon. Often people do not know how to get there, even though it is only a short drive from the main part of Avon.
In the '80s, this location was known as a “sleeper” area. Everyone knew it had great potential but it was not heavily occupied. Today, the secret is out and it is home to many locals and second homeowners!

The Community of Wildwood
Located on the north side of Avon, you follow Nottingham Road until almost the end, then you take a right on Metcalf Rd. and continue ahead. Wildwood is the first area you reach on the right.
This neighborhood is much smaller than Wildridge and consists mostly of townhomes. Since it is not heavily populated, you have a sense of privacy. Most of these townhomes have gorgeous views to Beaver Creek and Bachelor Gulch.
The Community of Wildridge
As you proceed up Metcalf Rd., you will reach the neighborhood of Wildridge, which is situated in a gorgeous valley with mountains in every direction. Here you will find a nice combination of townhomes, duplexes and single-family homes. You will see different views depending upon where you are within Wildridge; such as Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, or the Red and White Mountains. One thing you can count on is fantastic and expansive views. You should also be able to see the New York Mountain range from here!
Since you are on a mountainside, it provides a quiet environment. You will find a few parks for children and several different access points to take you to the National Forest. One of the trails will take you down to Singletree, which is a neighboring community. Fabulous hiking and biking trails await you!
