Fees & Policies
 
Resort Fee
RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality have started packaging all resort service items under one daily Resort Fee, which includes, among other services and amenities, Internet access, water upon arrival, in-room coffee, and in the winter months spiced cider, hot chocolate and cookies in the late afternoon served in our lobby. At The Lodge at Vail, this is a $20 daily charge per room.
 
Please Note: Vail Resorts Lodging Company has partnered with the National Forest Foundation to support projects that improve and enhance the White River National Forest. As part of this initiative, a voluntary donation of $1 per room for each night of your stay will automatically be added to your bill. Your entire contribution will be forwarded to the National Forest Foundation.  For every dollar contributed by guests, the National Forest Foundation will invest $1.50 in on-the-ground conservation.  If you do not wish to make this contribution, simply let the front desk staff know and it will be removed from your bill immediately.
 
Tax Information
There is a 9.8% lodging, state, and local tax applicable to every room charge.
 
Deposit Policies
In the winter season, the first night of room and tax is charged to the credit card upon booking. This is refundable up to 21 days prior to arrival. The remaining balance will be charged to the credit card 21 days prior to arrival. Inside 21 days the entire stay is non-refundable. In the holiday season, the first night room and tax is charged to the credit card upon booking and this is non refundable. The remaining balance will be charged to the credit card 45 days prior to arrival. Inside 45 days the entire stay is non refundable. In the spring, summer, and fall seasons, there is a credit card guarantee, but no deposit is required. Please contact reservations at 970-754-7880 with specifics on the classification of seasons.
 
Cancellation Policies
In the winter season, cancellations may be made up to 21 days prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations made within 21 days will result in a full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax. In the holiday season, cancellations may be made up to 45 days prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations made within 45 days will result in a full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax. In the spring, summer, and fall seasons, cancellations may be made up to 24 hours prior to arrival without penalty. Cancellations made within 24 hours will result in a full forfeiture of the entire reservation value plus tax. Credit Card Policy
The Lodge at Vail accepts the following credit cards: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and Diners Club.
 
Check In and Check Out Times
Check-in begins at 4 p.m., and checkout must be completed by 11 a.m. Late checkout will be subject to availability. (Please check with the front desk on the morning of your departure.)
 
Children Policy
Children under 12 years of age stay free with adults when using existing bedding. Children 12 years of age and older, however, will incur charges over double occupancy in guest rooms. This is a $25 extra charge per night per child. The maximum amount of adults in one room is two. The Lodge at Vail concierge can arrange babysitting services and assist guests with activities geared toward children.
 
Pet Policy
The Lodge at Vail has a limited number of rooms that can accommodate dogs (the reservations staff must be notified at the time of booking), and there is a limit of one dog per room. Keeping dogs incurs a $50 charge per night.
 
Smoking Policy
The Lodge at Vail is a smoke free property.
 
Parking
For 2008-2009 winter season, valet parking is $25 per car, per night. The spring, summer, and fall seasons price is $20 per car, per night. Pricing subject to change.

Guest Room Phone Charges
Local and toll free calls are free for the first 20 minutes, after that it is a charge of $1 for each 10 minute period. Long distance & international calls will vary depending on location called. Prevailing hotel phone charges will apply.
 
Copies & Faxes
All copies are free for the first 25 pages, after that a charge of .10/page will incur. The first 25 pages of any outgoing domestic fax is free, after that a charge of $2.50/page will incur. The first 11 pages of an outgoing international fax are free, and each additional page is $5.
 
Travel Agent Commissions
Rates available via our online reservations engine are not commissionable to travel agents. Other travel arrangements are commissionable at 10% and are paid within 30 days from the date of room use.
 
Directions

From Vail/ Eagle County Regional Airport

  • Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6 
  • Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east. Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east   
  • Proceed on I-70 east until you reach the second Vail exit, Vail Village #176  
  • As you arrive at the roundabout, take the second right onto Vail Road (hospital), heading directly toward Vail Mountain   
  • Continue straight through the stop sigh, you will cross the Gore Creek Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side 

From Denver International Airport or any points east of Vail

  • Take I-70 west until you reach the second Vail exit, Vail Village #176 
  • Go around the roundabout, under I-70, heading directly toward Vail Mountain 
  • As you arrive at the roundabout, take the second right onto Vail Road (hospital), heading directly toward Vail Mountain 
  • Continue straight through the stop sign, you will cross Gore Creek Bridge, and the road will arc to the left. The entrance gate to The Lodge at Vail will be on your right-hand side
