Sandstone is a very popular place to live with its close proximity to the ski slopes, its easy access location to the mountain and many nearby trails . The condominiums in this neighborhood are relatively affordable adding to its appeal. This area consists of a variety of complexes which often have vacation and seasonal rentals, as well as second homes and permanent residents. Sandstone is the next best thing to being within walking distance of the ski slopes! 
Many owners and guests find this location a wonderful alternative to Vail Village and Lionshead . You will find various sizes and styles of condominium with views of the ski slopes. Another great benefit is that most of the properties are only a short walk to the bus stop. A number of or the neighborhoods complexes are especially popular due to their on-site amenities.
It is quite easy to get to Sandstone! From the main Vail except you go to North Frontage Road and drive only a few moments. You will pass the elementary school and an elevated bridge that crosses I-70. Some of the lucky residents can even walk to Lionshead! Just west of Sandstone you have easy access to the grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and the post office.
This south facing neighborhood also boasts some beautiful homes. Since the homes are generally tucked away even higher on the mountainside than the condos, there are even better views of Vail and Vail Mountain. This location is just west of Potato Patch and offers easy access to many hiking and biking trails, including Piney Lake, which are also popular in the winter for cross-country skiers and snowshoers .
