Eagle is the county seat and has been developed from a ranch community.  Its lower elevation is very desirable and you will find warmer temperatures compared to Vail.  It is amazing what a difference of 1,545 feet can make!  It also has a different topography.  Wide, expansive  areas compared to the “valley” feel of Vail to Edwards.  You will also see Juniper trees and sagebrush line the mountain side.  Residents and visitors will enjoy the downtown, which has the style of old Colorado.  Main Street is comprised of local culture and quaint shops.  You certainly will want to make time to walk along Broadway Street!
 

Eagle has a variety of neighborhoods.  The affordability factor is a draw for many.  Here you can find single family homes with a nice yard for under a half a million.  You will also find gorgeous golf course homes. Each neighborhood has its own uniqueness.  Depending upon your preferences, you should easily be able to find a home that is just right for you!  Some of the areas include:

 
Eagle County is fortunate to be home to the Eagle County Regional Airport and the Vail Valley Jet Center.  Whether you take a commercial airline or fly in your private jet, these facilities are an enormous benefit.  Whether you live in the Valley or just visiting, you will appreciate the frequent flights into the airport.  There are many convenient flights to popular destinations such as Denver, Dallas and Chicago.  The Vail Valley certainly has it all!
 
Eagle offers the outdoor enthusiasts plenty places to explore.  As you travel down Brush Creek, the southern most part of Eagle, you will past Adam’s Ridge.   As Brush Creek continues south, you will see lush greenery and creeks.  One of your destinations may be Sylvan Lake.  It is a camper’s delight with the beautiful lake and gorgeous views.  Even before you reach Sylvan Lake you will find many areas to hike. This area is a great adventure!
 

Eagle also has activities, movie theatre, Eagle County Fairgrounds, swimming pool, ice rink and so much more.  With the friendly atmosphere and the home town feel, it is truly a wonderful place to live!
