Vail Valley Alpine Skiing

By far the number one reason guests and residents come the Vail Valley is its world renowned ski resorts and pristine champagne powder. Whether you are a beginner or an expert; if you want to ski powder, moguls, trees, piste, or backcountry; or if you don’t ski yourself and just want to enjoy watching a ski competition, the Vail Valley is waiting to accommodate. Vail resort has 3,450’ of vertical rise, 34 lifts, 193 trails, 5,289 ski-able acres, and almost exactly 1/3 each beginner, intermediate and expert terrain. Beaver Creek resort has 4,040’ vertical rise, 17 lifts, 149 trails, 1,815 ski-able acres, and all but 20% intermediate and expert terrain. There is also a plethora of backcountry trails with deep powder just waiting to be spoiled. What more could you need???!!!

Well I guess you need gear or how about a lesson! There are dozens of shops in the area at which you can rent or purchase any type of equipment or clothing you may need. They may even be willing to deliver it right to your door. The Vail and Beaver Creek Ski schools are home to some of the world’s best instructors. They have a wide array of expertise including beginner, intermediate, expert, free-style, park, children, racing, and so much more. Lessons are not only for the inexperienced, just about everyone could benefit from the five star instructions offered at either resort.
